Wimbledon Increases Prize Money Pot to Record $41 Million

The Wimbledon tennis championships have increased its total prize money pot for this year’s grand slam event by 7 percent to 26.75 million pounds ($40.9 million).
“Wimbledon prize money is once again the highest ever in professional tennis,” Wimbledon chairman Phil Brook said at a press conference at the All England Club today.
