Volkswagen AG supervisory board Chairman Ferdinand Piech resigned from all of his posts at the carmaker along with his wife, Ursula, ending a power struggle with other company leaders supporting Chief Executive Officer Martin Winterkorn.

Deputy Chairman Berthold Huber will lead the board until a permanent replacement is elected, Volkswagen said in an e-mailed statement Saturday. The company didn’t specify the reason for the departure.
