Intel Forecast Shows Improving Demand for Data-Center Chips

Chipmaking leader Intel Corp. said demand for machines that run data centers is helping keep second-quarter sales in line with analysts’ estimates.
Second-quarter revenue will be $13.2 billion, plus or minus $500 million, the company said Tuesday in a statement. That compares with average analysts’ projections of $13.5 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
