Shanda Games Ltd. said it has agreed to be taken private in a $1.9 billion deal.
Capitalhold Ltd. will pay $3.55 for ordinary shares of the Chinese online game developer and $7.10 for American depositary receipts, Shanda said in a statement on Friday.
Private equity funds Primavera Capital Ltd., Carlyle Group LP and FountainVest Partners Co. withdrew from an earlier offer to take the company private in September.
Shares of Shanda Games’ ADRs, each representing two ordinary shares, rose less than 1 percent to $6.49 Thursday in New York trading. They are up 14 percent since the beginning of the year.
The U.S. stock market is closed today for the Good Friday holiday.
