Alibaba Invests in Israel’s JVP to Boost Hacking Protection

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. is investing in Jerusalem Venture Partners to work with Israeli cybersecurity startups and protect its payment business from hackers.

The deal is in line with Alibaba’s mission to support startups, the Hangzhou, China-based company said in an e-mail, declining to comment on the investment size. JVP managing partner Kobi Rozengarten confirmed the accord during the fund’s annual meeting in Jerusalem on Monday.
