Social-Marketing Companies Drum Up Support at South by Southwest

Startups that help businesses make the most of Twitter Inc., Facebook Inc. and other social networks were gaining some attention at this week’s South by Southwest Interactive conference.

Bessemer Venture Partners hosted a party at the offices of Main Street Hub, a marketing startup that helps companies promote themselves and address customer concerns. Xfund touted its investments such as Curalate, which helps businesses publish and analyze images on social networks. And Oracle Corp. has started to help customers connect with users of Instagram Inc. and microblogging site Weibo Corp.
