Commerzbank CEO Blessing Gets Bonus for First Time Since 2007

Commerzbank AG Chief Executive Officer Martin Blessing received a bonus for the first time since 2007 as profit at Germany’s second-largest bank rose even after the firm agreed to pay $1.45 billion to settle U.S. probes.

Blessing will receive 2.67 million euros ($2.83 million) in total compensation for 2014 versus 1.38 million euros the previous year, while his base salary will remain unchanged at 1.31 million euros, according to the company’s annual report, released today.
