VW’s Skoda Unit Urges Czech Euro Adoption When Greek Crisis Ebbs

The Czech Republic will benefit from adopting the euro and should join the monetary union after the Greek debt crisis calms down, the head of Volkswagen AG’s unit, Skoda Auto AS, said.

While it’s up to the government to decide, 2018 would be a favorable moment for the ex-communist European Union member to make the currency switch, Winfried Vahland, the chief executive officer at the largest Czech industrial company and the country’s main exporter, said on Monday.
