SouthGobi Resources Ltd. said its chief executive officer has resigned, signaling further change for a company that has spent much of the past two years battling low coal prices and claims of tax evasion by Mongolian authorities.
Enkh-Amgalan Sengee is leaving the company after only three months in charge to pursue other opportunities, according to a statement by SouthGobi today. Executive director Ted Chan, appointed to the role earlier this month, will assume the duties of CEO until further notice.
