The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post reached agreements with Dutch startup Blendle BV that would let online readers buy individual news articles.

The fee for most stories will be 20 cents, Marten Blankesteijn, one of the Utrecht, Netherlands-based company’s founders, said in an e-mail Thursday. The publishers get 70 percent and Blendle gets the rest. The service will be available to U.S. readers later this year once more newspapers and magazines are signed up, he said.
