Antofagasta to Appeal Court Ruling That Threatens Pelambres Mine

Antofagasta Plc will appeal a Chilean court order to demolish part of a dam that would force the London-based company to shut its biggest copper mine.
A judge ordered the company to destroy the wall of El Mauro tailings dam to improve water access to the village of Caimanes. Antofagasta said it has presented a plan to improve water supply to Caimanes without having to knock down the wall.
