Greece Gears Up for Euro-Area Talks as Cash Crunch Looms

Greece’s creditors are assessing proposals including hiring non-professional inspectors to clamp down on tax evasion as the government attempts to unlock bailout funds necessary to keep the country afloat.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’s administration sent a set of commitments Friday to Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who chairs meetings of his euro-area counterparts, in the hope that the policy proposals will pave the way for the disbursement of aid.
