Two aides to Senator Robert Menendez have refused to answer questions by a U.S. grand jury examining gifts he got from a close personal friend and actions the lawmaker took on the friend’s behalf, according to a New Jersey Law Journal report.
The Law Journal cited a sealed opinion inadvertently posted on the website of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia on Feb. 27 and then withdrawn because it involves a confidential grand jury investigation, said Joel McHugh, the court’s deputy circuit executive.
