Natural Gas Declines on Outlook for March Thaw After Cold Blast

Natural gas futures dropped in New York for the third time in four days as meteorologists predicted mild weather that would limit heating demand after a cold blast.

Temperatures may be mostly higher than average in the contiguous U.S. from March 12 through March 16, according to Commodity Weather Group LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. The low in Chicago on March 14 may be 38 degrees Fahrenheit (3 Celsius), 8 more than usual, AccuWeather Inc. said on its website.
