Saab Forecasts Sales Growth on European Military Spending

The Ukraine crisis is set to spur Western rearmament as concerns about Russian aggression prompt governments to boost military budgets and reverse years of diminishing combat capability, arms-maker Saab AB predicated.

In the near term, the heightened tensions will increase demand for more-defensive systems such as anti-tank weapons, anti-aircraft missile batteries and sensors, the Stockholm-based maker of the Gripen jet fighter said today, adding that tender volumes have reached record levels.
