RadioShack Corp.’s demise promises to spread about $3 billion in sales among its former consumer-electronics rivals, helping an industry where any boost would be welcome.

Best Buy Co. and Amazon.com Inc. are poised to win over many of RadioShack’s remaining electronics customers, while wireless carriers and discount retailers such as Wal-Mart Stores Inc. also may capture some of the chain’s mobile-phone revenue. The most direct beneficiary may be Sprint Corp., which is buying as many as 1,750 shuttered RadioShack stores, helping increase its distribution network on the cheap.
