Intertain Buys Bingo Site From U.K. Gamesys for $653M

The Intertain Group Ltd. bought Internet gaming businesses from Gamesys Ltd. in a deal that it says will make it the largest provider of online bingo.
The Toronto-based company will pay at least 425.8 million pounds ($653 million) in cash and shares for several websites including bingo site Jackpotjoy and slot site Real-Money Starspins. Intertain could pay London-based Gamesys more over the next three years if it hits certain profit targets, the company said in a statement.
