Omid Kordestani, Google Inc.’s 11th employee, was awarded $123 million in restricted stock after he replaced Nikesh Arora as the company’s chief business officer last year.
The Mountain View, California-based Web company granted Kordestani 108,282 Class C shares on Nov. 5 that will vest in April 2018 if he’s still employed by Google, according to a filing that month. He also received 117,306 Class C shares that vest every three months in 13 installments, the filing shows. The Class C shares have no voting rights, and the grant was valued at about $118 million at yesterday’s close.
