JSW Tumbles as Polish Miners Strike to Protest Benefit Cuts

Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa SA, the European Union’s biggest coking coal producer, fell to the lowest level in more than three weeks on concern profit will suffer after its Polish mineworkers went on strike.
Shares in state-controlled JSW retreated as much as 5.3 percent before closing 4.4 percent down at 18.70 zloty, the lowest since Jan. 5, in Warsaw. The stock was the worst performer on the WIG20 Index last year, dropping 68 percent. Its 12 percent gain this year is the best on the benchmark gauge.
