Americans are taking their savings from filling up at the gas station to ... well, just plain fill up.

Their pockets a bit more padded after paying $1.51 less for a gallon of gas than they did six months ago, consumers piled into their Chevy Camaros and Toyota Camrys and set a course for a good meal.
