Turkish anti-terrorism police raided the home of a Dutch journalist and detained her on the day that Netherlands Foreign Minister Bert Koenders was in the country on a state visit.

Frederike Geerdink announced her detention on Twitter earlier today, saying eight officers searched her house and then took her in on charges of “propaganda for a terrorist organization.” The Netherlands Consul-General in Istanbul Robert Schuddeboom confirmed her detention and said the embassy was involved in the case.
