Greece Reaction: Euro Partners Urge Country to Stick to Reforms

Greece’s euro area partners said the country needs to push on with structural economic reforms whatever happens in snap elections next month.

“The Greek people will once again decide on their future,” Pierre Moscovici, European Union commissioner for economic and financial affairs, said in an e-mailed statement. “A strong commitment to Europe and broad support among the Greek voters and political leaders for the necessary growth-friendly reform process will be essential for Greece to thrive again within the euro area.”
