Gert-Jan Kramer, the former chief executive officer of Fugro NV, decided to step down from the Dutch deepwater-oilfield surveyor’s supervisory board, adding more turmoil to the stock that is down 74 percent this year.
“Any debate about the combination of being a shareholder and member of the supervisory board of the company is neither in the interest of Fugro or myself,” Kramer, who was head of the Leidschendam, Netherlands-based company from 1983 to 2005, said in a statement. Kramer holds 4.08 percent of Fugro, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
