Siemens Supplying 97 Megawatts of Turbines for Project in Peru

Siemens AG, Europe’s largest engineering company, agreed to supply wind turbines with 97 megawatts of capacity for a power plant in southern Peru.

The order is Siemens’s second in Peru from Madrid-based Cobra Energia, a unit of Actividades de Construccion & Servicios SA, the Munich-based manufacturer said in a statement today on its website. Terms weren’t disclosed. The deal also includes a six-year service agreement.
