Belfast Protest Leaders Criticized by Minister on Unrest

Authorities warned the organizers of protests against restrictions on marches in Belfast on July 12 they might provoke unrest, Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villiers said as violence flared for a third night.

Six gasoline bombs and various other missiles were thrown at police in a standoff in north Belfast last night, with one officer being injured, UTV Media Plc, based in the city, reported on its website.
