General Electric Co., whose energy equipment makes more than a quarter of the world’s power, will supply solar panels for a 23-megawatt Invenergy LLC project in Illinois.

Invenergy will use GE’s thin-film panels at its Grand Ridge Solar project in La Salle County, adjacent to a 210-megawatt wind farm it built using GE turbines, the Fairfield, Connecticut-based equipment company said today in a statement. The companies didn’t give a price.
