Congress Approves Bill Funding Government Until April 8

Congress gave final approval to a stopgap measure funding the U.S. government until April 8 while lawmakers debate spending levels for the rest of this year.
The Senate voted 87-13 to send the plan to President Barack Obama for his signature. It cleared the House two days ago over opposition from 54 members of the Republican majority.
