U.K. Gas Storage Drop Risks Echoing 2013 as Colder Weather Seen

U.K. natural gas storage levels fell to a four-year low as colder weather boosted prices and risked depleting inventories as in 2013.

Storage sites in the U.K., Europe’s biggest traded market, were yesterday at their lowest level for the time of year since 2011, according to data from Gas Infrastructure Europe, a Brussels-based lobby group. Most of Europe is forecast to be cooler than usual from Jan. 18, according to Reading, England-based MetraWeather (U.K.) Ltd.
