One of the two brothers suspected in the Charlie Hebdo shootings in Paris may have ties to al-Qaeda in Yemen, according to Yemeni and French officials, amid reports that the group was behind the attack.

Said Kouachi, 34, who was killed with his brother Cherif today in a police raid in a small town northeast of Paris, may have received training from al-Qaeda militants in the Arabian Peninsula nation, a French police official said, citing French and U.S. intelligence agencies. The official asked not to be named in line with police rules.
