Samsung to Use Tizen on All Web-Connected TVs This Year

Samsung Electronics Co., the world’s biggest maker of televisions, said all its Web-connected sets will use the Tizen operating system this year.

The new TVs can access content and synchronize with mobile devices including smartphones and tablet computers to enable viewing on multiple screens, the Suwon, South Korea-based company said in an e-mailed statement today. Samsung will show Tizen sets at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week.
