Japan May Spend 50 Billion Yen for Energy Storage, Yomiuri Says

The Japanese government is considering the allocation of 50 billion yen ($415 million) to subsidize installations of storage systems for solar power, the Yomiuri newspaper reported.
The government plans to help utilities and solar power producers install systems as part of a supplementary budget for the fiscal year ending March 31, the paper reported yesterday, without saying where it got the information.
