Billionaire investor Carl Icahn vowed to keep trying to settle with unionized workers at the bankrupt Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc.’s Taj Mahal in a bid to keep the foundering New Jersey casino open.
“I am in no way anti-union,” Icahn wrote today in a letter to Trump Entertainment’s Chief Executive Officer Robert Griffin, saying he’d provide $20 million in additional financing to keep the casino operating. “I remain hopeful that I will be able to reach a deal with them.”
