Household Wealth in U.S. Fell in Third Quarter on Stocks

Household wealth in the U.S. eased from July through September as the value of Americans’ holdings of stocks and mutual funds declined.
Net worth for households and non-profit groups fell by $140.9 billion in the third quarter, or 0.2 percent from the previous three months, to $81.3 trillion, the Federal Reserve said today from Washington in its financial accounts report, previously known as the flow of funds survey.
