Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado vowed to continue campaigning for the government’s resignation, even after she was charged with links to an alleged plot to murder President Nicolas Maduro.
Machado, 47, will attend the Dec. 3 court appointment to state her innocence, the former lawmaker told reporters in Caracas today, accompanied by the wife of jailed opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez. Armed intelligence officers served the court summons at her home last night, she said.
