Twitter’s Early Backers Say CEO Should Clarify His Plan

Twitter Inc. Chief Executive Officer Dick Costolo, who is heading into his company’s first analyst day today, is getting advice from several longtime investors: Clarify his muddled message to Wall Street.
Early backers of San Francisco-based Twitter -- including investor Chris Sacca and venture capitalist Ben Horowitz of Andreessen Horowitz, who continue to own the company’s shares -- said Costolo needs to focus his message on how the microblogging service has built its digital-advertising business and now has the right team in place to extend its global reach.
