Princeton University reached an agreement with the U.S. Education Department today to end an investigation over its handling of sexual assault on campus.

Princeton was found to be in violation of Title IX, the law that bans gender discrimination in education, by “failing to promptly and equitably” respond to complaints of sexual violence and “failing to end the sexually hostile environment for one student,” the department’s Office for Civil Rights said in a statement.
