Bombardier Inc. has shelved a plan to build planes in Russia until the political tension in the region improves, Chief Executive Officer Pierre Beaudoin said.
“For now we are not proceeding because conditions are not favorable for creating a joint venture in Russia,” Beaudoin said today on a conference call with reporters. “Given the political situation now, the situation of the Russian economy, we are putting the project aside for now and we’ll see how things evolve over the next few months.”
