U.K. Growth Slows as Obstacles to Recovery Increase: Economy

U.K. economic growth cooled in the third quarter as threats to the recovery from the euro-area slump mounted.
Gross domestic product rose 0.7 percent in the three months through September, compared with 0.9 percent in the second quarter, the Office for National Statistics said today. That matched the median forecast of 36 economists in a Bloomberg News survey. On an annualized basis, the economy grew 2.8 percent, according to ONS calculations.
