Hollande Embraces Battle for Growth as Stubb Sees No Rush

French President Francois Hollande pressed European Union leaders to combat financial market turmoil by jump-starting growth, as renewed market turmoil overshadowed the start of a two-day summit with Asian nations.

“This is my fight: Europe must get back on the path to growth,” Hollande told reporters today in Milan. Asia can help bolster the EU’s prospects “but Europe must organize its economic policies to make it more favorable to growth.”
