Brazil’s BRF Said to Join KKR, CVC on Americana Bid

BRF SA, Brazil’s biggest food maker by market value, is making a joint bid for Kuwait Food Co. with private-equity firms KKR & Co. and CVC Capital Partners Ltd., two people with knowledge of the matter said.

BRF, KKR and CVC are bidding for the whole company, known as Americana, which would then be split between the buyers if the bid is successful, said the people, who asked not to be identified because talks are private.
