The city of San Bruno, California, is calling for another member of the state utilities commission to be removed because of his private communications with PG&E Corp. as the company faces a proposed $1.4 billion penalty.
Commissioner Mike Florio should be forced out alongside President Michael Peevey, who said last month he would recuse himself from the case because of inappropriate e-mail exchanges with PG&E, the mayor of San Bruno said. PG&E said yesterday the U.S. attorney’s office is investigating as it found more communications that it believes violate commission rules.
