Texas state Senator Wendy Davis, who sprang to national attention when she filibustered in pink running shoes against new abortion laws, attacked Attorney General Greg Abbott on ethics and policy in their last debate before the Nov. 4 election to replace Governor Rick Perry.

Davis, 51, a Democrat trailing in polls, said Abbott withheld information about a state fund that provides subsidies to businesses that expand or move to Texas. Republican Abbott, 56, the state’s top law enforcement officer since 2002, questioned Davis’s ethics in working for a title firm that closed deals for a company that benefited from the fund.
