American Apparel Inc. named turnaround consultant Scott Brubaker as interim chief executive officer, bringing another shake-up to the clothing chain after its tumultuous ouster of founder Dov Charney in June.

Brubaker replaces John Luttrell, who is resigning from the Los Angeles-based company, according to a statementBloomberg Terminal today. Luttrell, American Apparel’s chief financial officer, stepped into the CEO role after the board removed Charney for alleged misconduct. Brubaker, 43, is a managing director at consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal and has handled other interim leadership jobs for specialty retailers. He had been advising American Apparel since it hired Alvarez earlier this month.
