Germany’s Lisa Brennauer yesterday won the women cycling’s time-trial world title, beating Ukraine’s Anna Solovey by 18.7 seconds.

American Evelyn Stevens, a former Lehman Brothers Inc. banker who quit Wall Street in 2009 to pursue a career as a professional cyclist, came three seconds further back for the bronze medal.
