University of Pennsylvania Posts 17.5% Investment Return

The University of Pennsylvania reported investment gains of 17.5 percent in the year ended June.

The value of Penn’s endowment rose to $9.6 billion, an increase of $1.8 billion from a year earlier, the Ivy League school said today in a statement. The three-year average return at the Philadelphia-based university was 10.9 percent while the 10-year was 8 percent.
