Video-Game Tournaments to Fill Sports Arenas With $100,000 Prize

The home of the National Hockey League’s San Jose Sharks will soon be welcoming a new form of entertainment: Video games.
ESL Gaming Network, one of the world’s largest organized groups for e-sports, or tournaments for video-game playing, will bring an event to the SAP Center in San Jose, California, for the first time in December. ESL competitions are also scheduled next month at the theater at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
