Humala Names Segura Peru Finance Minister as Economy Slows

Peru’s President Ollanta Humala appointed Alonso Segura as finance minister to replace Miguel Castilla, who resigned amid criticism the government failed to avert a slump in the economy.
Segura was sworn in as Humala’s second finance minister at the government palace in Lima yesterday. Castilla was Peru’s longest serving finance minister since Jorge Camet in the 1990s.
