Gap Drops as August Same-Store Sales Trail Analyst Estimates

Gap Inc. fell the most in almost a year after posting August same-store sales that trailed analysts’ estimates as demand dropped at its namesake clothing chain.
Gap fell 4.2 percent to $44.65 for the biggest one-day slide for the San Francisco-based retailer since October 2013. Gap has gained 14 percent this year.
