Russian Aid Convoy Enters Ukraine Amid Warnings

The first trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Russia crossed the border to Ukraine after the Foreign Ministry in Moscow warned against attempts to disrupt the convoy.

About 70 white trucks entered Ukraine without a Red Cross escort and headed toward the city of Luhansk. Russia’s Foreign Ministry accused its neighbor of deliberately delaying the deliveries, saying in a statement that the government in Kiev is seeking victory over separatists by Ukraine’s Aug. 24 Independence Day.
