China Investigates VW Sagitar After Mounting Complaints

China’s quality inspector started an investigation into potential defects of a locally produced Volkswagen AG sedan after mounting complaints from owners.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has contacted VW about complaints of broken rear shafts of its Sagitar sedan and asked it to remedy the problem, the regulator said in a statement on its website. The agency has also requested that affected car owners provide feedback to assist in the investigation.
